Richard is a consultant with Carew Lawyers, which he established in 1984. Richard has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland and a Diploma in Legal Practice from QUT. Since his admission to practice law in Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 1980, Richard has gained broad experience in many aspects of the law including commercial law, property, family, planning and environment, criminal law and compensation litigation.
In more recent times, Richard has concentrated on the management of Carew Lawyers, and planning and environment law, including advising clients on making submissions to all levels of government and to Federal Senate and Queensland parliamentary committee Inquires, particularly into environment-related issues.
As the founder, Richard built Carew Lawyers into a firm renowned for exceptional service that translates into favourable outcomes, including in Queensland Courts of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.
